2007 Oldfield Reserve Syrah

This is one of the best aged wines I’ve had from the South Okanagan. Round, supple, balanced, complex, sensual…everything came together in a perfect sensory journey with this Syrah. Rich in texture and delicate in flavours, the nose offers you blueberry pie, plum, smoke, licorice and dry herbs. The palate is extremely complex with flavours of blue fruits, blackberry, dark chocolate, cloves, cinnamon, and caramel. This wine is at it’s best now, after nearly 15 years of cellaring. Surprisingly, with the structure it has, I think it can be vibrant and offer even more for at least five more years. If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettably delicious wine, this is the one to open! (CWC, Jan 26/22).
